Algorave & Workshop w/ Alex McLean

Was erwartet man anderes als einen Algorave, wenn Alex McLean, Miterfinder des Algorave mal vorbei nach Karlsruhe kommt? (Hier ein Video von ihm in Karlsruhe 2015 — immer mal wieder will man es anschauen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAq4BAbvRS4&t=1724s)

Am Freitag, den 26. Juli, fangen wir um 19 Uhr im Hof bei Rudolf5 mit etwas Chilligem bis Hüftbewegendem an. Ab 21 Uhr geht's dann fett weiter im Keller. Von TidalCycles bis SuperCollider, Hydra oder 1-bit Shader, Minimal Techno bis IDM, Strudel und der jüngste KabelSalat — es gibt viel zu erleben!

Anschließend am Samstag, den 27. Juli, wird Alex im ßpace einen anfängerfreundlichen Workshop über algorithmische Patterns geben, speziell inspiriert von geometrischen südindischen Rhythmen. Wir beginnen um 13 Uhr mit Strudel (das Essen) und Kaffee zum Aufwachen. Von 14 bis 17 Uhr werden wir mit Strudel (die Programmiersprache, https://strudel.cc) im Browser die Welt der Beatmuster erkunden. Bitte bringt eure Laptops und Kopfhörer mit! On Friday, July 26, we'll start at 7 PM in the courtyard at Rudolf5 with something chill to hip-moving. By 9 PM, we'll move to the basement for more intensity. From TidalCycles to SuperCollider, Hydra or 1-bit Shader, Minimal Techno to IDM, Strudel, and the latest KabelSalat — there's a lot to experience!

Then on Saturday, July 27, Alex will host a beginner-friendly workshop on algorithmic patterns at ßpace, drawing inspiration from geometric South Indian rhythms. We'll begin at 1 PM with strudel (the food) and coffee to recover from the Algorave, and continue together from 2 to 5 PM to explore the realm of beats and patterns using Strudel (the programming language, https://strudel.cc) in the browser.
